When I met Haley last year and she started talking about her little Shih Tzu, Hannah, I knew she and I were kindred spirits. I’m pretty sure most of you have heard all about Ady, and probably my beloved pugs Eddie and Bianca. Many of you know my dogs are always my top priority and I would literally do anything for them. So when Haley talked to me about Hannah and how much her aging pup was her world, we knew we had to do a Lawrence pet photo session to capture their story.
I know I talk a lot about that golden hour light, but I swear this session with Haley and Hannah was a wonderful reminder of why we should always shoot in the golden hour. Believe me when I make this recommendation, because the photos will be ahh-mazing!
Every little moment between these two seriously slayed me. Haley knew exactly how she wanted to pose. She had so much happiness capturing every photo. And Hannah was just happy to be in Haley’s arms. I’m telling you, it is always worth it to bring your pets to a session. We always capture the most incredible moments with them.
What I really loved was how Haley had photos of Hannah and her from childhood that she wanted to recreate in our session. I am so in love with the outcome and it seriously brought me to tears when I started seeing how beautifully these images turned out compared to Haley’s childhood pictures. What an honor to be chosen to capture these sentimental photos!
I cannot stress this enough: please bring your pets to our photo sessions. I have had so many friends who have told me how grateful they are to have photos like these, particularly when it comes to aging pets. But honestly, it doesn’t matter if they are puppies or an elderly pet. Let’s capture those memories.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t sit here and cry looking at Hannah and Haley’s photos. I was seriously at a loss for words when I saw what we created together. I’m so in love!
I cannot stress this enough: bring your pets and I promise you it will be worth it. As wild as you think they may be, that’s part of their personalities. And that’s what I want to capture. It’s something you can always look back on with happy memories. And believe me when I say it makes me happier than you can know.
If it’s been awhile since you’ve had a family session, or if you’re ready for a Lawrence pet photo session of your own, please drop me a line. I cannot wait to capture your beautiful story, too!
