What a wild ride the last year has been. When I think back to where we were this time last year (sanitizing groceries and binge-watching Tiger King, amirite?), I’m not sure I would have expected to be where we are today. No, I’m not talking about being vaccinated and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m talking about the great Covid Baby Boom! I’m so excited to document an unforgettable 2020 with one of my very favorite things on the planet: newborn photography!
That’s right — weddings may have slowed down, but you guys sure took advantage of being home with nothing to do. Babies, babies, and more babies are coming in hot in 2021, and I am 100% here for it!
You guys, I swear, I’ve had more Covid newborn photography sessions than I did Chiefs National Champions Baby Boom shoots, and while I would have expected the latter might happen over this pandemic situation (cause WHO could have predicted this?), I couldn’t be happier things have turned out the way they did.
After all, is there anything better than snuggling a newborn? Taking in the smell of a delicious and soft little head? Listening to those sweet coos? Smiling over your baby’s milk-drunken coma?
I’ve been told by so many women that you forget the pain of childbirth once the baby is here. Does that mean this 2021 baby boom will leave a wonderful impression on some of you from 2020, too? I sure hope so.
In other words, I think newborn photography is one of the undeniably best ways to remember what we all lived through last year. And thank you to those of you (like the Blooms, Rays, and Roes, whose families are shown here) who have allowed me to capture the happiness you found despite such dark times.
Did you find yourself with a bundle of joy during the pandemic? Let’s talk about a newborn photography session and let’s beautifully capture your amazing 2020/2021 story.
